United Arab Emirate is one of Islamic state which majority of Muslims, and at the same time is desired holiday destination for many people around the world, in respect for other religions UAE has allowed Churches and Temples to be settled within borders for people to feel free to practice their religion. Due to the outbreak of Pandemic Covid-19 all worship structures we put on closed on March 16 2020 to prevent the spread of Covid-19 as places like these often output with huge gathering Such as Mosques where people pray by being on side to side.
As UAE has almost won the war against novel coronavirus, much of its business are coming back to their previous tracks even tourism is also expected to be started anytime soon, with all motivation against prevention the Authorities asks for the praying places to be reopen and mosques will be opened daily but Friday prayer are still not permitted, said Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri in interview where he further advised that capacity of worshippers would be 30% and everyone is requested to perform ablution from home before attending mosque for praying.
Safety measure are also applied in mosque as follow:
- Greetings and gathering such handshakes are banned
- Physical distance should be about three meters among each other
- Attenders should sanitize their hands before entering and after leaving the mosque
- Facemask must wore by all
- Worshippers must bring their own Quran
- Prayer mat should be carried along and shouldn’t be left in the mosque
- All the worshippers must download Al Hosn Application
Dr. Dhehari further advised for children aged 12 or less and Elders aged 60 or more should not be attending mosque due to high rate of getting them infected because a single infection is detected it would result in closure of place of worship, Temples and Churches should be also aware of these safety measurement because policy applies on all.
